What Atlas is
Atlas is a reporting tool for small online shops. It brings a shop's own orders, warehouse costs and marketing figures together so the people running the shop can see how it is doing.
What Atlas reads
- Orders and order lines from the shop's store (for example Squarespace), and warehouse charges (for example ShipBob), using keys the shop gives it.
- Marketing results the shop connects: ad results (for example Meta), email campaign results (Mailchimp or Klaviyo), and, if the shop signs in with Google, Search Console and Google Analytics reports. All of these are read-only: Atlas cannot change a campaign, a site or an account.
- Customer emails are stored only as a one-way fingerprint for counting new and returning customers; names and addresses are kept only when the shop adds them, to show its own customer list.
How Atlas uses Google data
When a shop signs in with Google, Atlas asks only for read-only access to Search Console and Google Analytics, and uses it only to show that shop its own search and traffic figures inside Atlas. Atlas's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google data is never sold, never used for advertising, never shared with other businesses on Atlas, and never used to train AI models. A shop can disconnect Google at any time in Atlas, or remove Atlas's access in its Google account, and Atlas stops reading.
Ask Atlas
When someone asks Atlas a question, Atlas sends the relevant figures (never customer names or emails) to Anthropic to write the answer. Anthropic doesn't use data sent through its API to train its models by default.
Keeping it safe
Each business's data is kept apart by the database itself, keys and tokens are stored encrypted, and only the members a business invites can see its figures.
Removing data
A business can remove any connection at any time. To have a business's data deleted, its owner can ask the person who runs Atlas for it, and it is removed.
